Budgies Have a Third Eyelid
Budgies Have a Third Eyelid Most mammals have two eyelids that they use to open and close the eye. Budgerigars have an invisible third eyelid. These eyelids are used to protect and clean the eye from particles and dust so that it is not damaged. This inner lid is located in front of the eyes. These lids close from top to bottom, allowing the dust in the eye to be cleaned.
