DİSEASE İN BUDGİES
DİSEASE İN BUDGİES
Disease symptoms Budgerigars often fluff their feathers due to illness. When a budgerigar is sick, different symptoms can be observed in addition to the fluff of its feathers. Birds in nature use feathers to hide their illness. This movement is also common in poultry. In addition to swelling, lethargy, rapid and deep breathing, sneezing, prolonged sleep, weight loss and behavioral changes are also symptoms of the disease. Although the presence of fluffy hairs is not an indicator of a disease, it means that you should go to the vet when you see them sitting on the floor of the cage while they are fluffing. In this case, it may not respond to any of your movements or toys. Birds usually do not show signs of illness until the last minute. Therefore, it is recommended that you act immediately when you notice a change.
