MATİNG SYMPTOMS AND MATİNG PERİOD
Mating Symptoms and Mating Period Budgerigars do not have a specific mating period. However, budgerigars are in a heat close to mating, often with the male budgerigar's beak turning blue when hot, while the female bird will turn brown. During heat, the male budgerigar constantly woos the female, cries, turns around and tries to land her on the female's back with one foot. The budgerigar lays its first egg in the nest about 10-15 days after mating. During the spawning period, frequent mating behaviors can be seen between the female and the male. Budgerigars repeat these behaviors before laying eggs. If you notice these behaviors and signs of budgerigars, they start to lay eggs in an average of 48 hours. When the female bird begins to lay eggs, she begins to lay eggs every 48 hours. Budgerigars lay eggs once every two days. After each egg, the new egg mates again for fertilization.
